About Attorney Brantley

"The Fine Print Lawyer"

Jennifer N. Brantley is the founder of J. Brantley Law, PLLC, where she brings a unique perspective to legal practice; one shaped by years of experience in contracts, procurement strategy, compliance, and organizational advisory work.

Before opening her own practice, Jennifer served as a public relations and crisis communications consultant in Atlanta, GA (working with clients like the Georgia Lottery, Hotel Chocolat, and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta), as a senior attorney at a Decatur, GA law firm, as a C-suite executive (Contract Administrator) and legal counsel for Nebraska's Department of Health and Human Services, as the Public Information Officer and member of command staff at a California police department, GS-12 contracting officer for the US Air Force, GS-13 Chief of General Law at a US Air Force base, and as a senior consultant for the California High-Speed Rail Project through AECOM, a Fortune 500 company. Her breadth of experience yielded invaluable insight into the mechanics of government procurement and the importance of precise, strategic documentation, and it's this background that informs her approach to every client engagement: structured, thorough, and always aligned with real-world outcomes.

As a military spouse (Air Force), Jennifer understands the entrepreneurial spirit that drives many to build their own businesses. She's dedicated to providing the kind of legal support that empowers builders, brands, and businesses to grow with confidence.

The Brand Story

Why "The Fine Print Lawyer"?

Starting and scaling a business is hard work. Add to that all the legal details requiring thoughtful attention (think vendor agreements, lease terms, service contracts, operating agreements, and trademark filings), and the process can quickly become daunting. Documents begin to run together, but that doesn't exchange the fact that each contains pivotal provisions that shape risk, responsibility, and ownership. One misstep and language that seemed innocuous is revealed to carry meaningful consequences for your business over time. Trust me — as a small business owner several times over, I know. I also know it doesn't have to be that way.

That's why I've melded my personal experience with more than 13 years of expertise to create J Brantley Law, aka the Fine Print Lawyer. My firm was created to support founders, small businesses, and growing companies with contract review, business formation, trademark registration nationwide, and ongoing legal guidance in Georgia and Texas.

The services I offer, though, go leagues beyond "reading the fine print." I focus on identifying risk, clarifying obligations, strengthening terms, and ensuring alignment with both applicable law and operational goals.

I zealously advocate on your behalf and ensuring legal compliance, so you can focus on building a business that will last.

J Brantley Law serves businesses in San Antonio, Boerne, New Braunfels, and surrounding Texas communities, as well as Atlanta and the state of Georgia. Trademark services are available to clients nationwide.
